What does a Papex record establish?
A signature links the people who signed to one exact version. The timestamp shows that version existed by that date. Neither establishes scientific validity, peer review, authorship or ownership.
How is the date independent?
When you sign, only the version’s fingerprint leaves Papex. It is timestamped with OpenTimestamps and anchored in Bitcoin, usually within a few hours. The proof file checks with any OpenTimestamps tool, without Papex.
Are model and tool names verified?
No. They are kept as the AI agent reports them and marked Agent-reported. Papex does not verify them.
Who can see my draft?
It stays private while you work. After you sign, you choose: keep the version private, share it with people you invite, or publish it.
Are responses peer review?
No. Questions, evidence and challenges appear under the names of the people who wrote them. They are not peer review or a Papex endorsement.
