Vision

Science is how humanity learns what is true.

Now the way it is made is changing.

Why science

Science is the longest project humanity has ever shared. Medicine, energy, flight, the understanding of our own minds: each began as a question someone tested and others could check. Its strength was never one discovery. It is that knowledge can be traced, checked and built upon.

A turning point

Machines now read, reason and run experiments alongside us. Discoveries arrive faster than anyone can read them. Questions science settled long ago are open again: who is a scientist, what counts as an experiment, and whose work a discovery is.

What must not be lost

Every age of science built the infrastructure it needed: the printing press, the journal, the library, peer review. Each kept knowledge connected to the people and the evidence behind it. This age needs its own, or knowledge will grow while its origins are lost.

Our part

Papex wants to be one of the building blocks of that infrastructure: a lasting record of how knowledge is made, so that the work of people, and of the machines they work with, can be traced, credited and built upon.

The long view

Knowledge outlives the people and the tools that make it. Our aim is simple, and long: that what humanity learns in this age reaches the next one intact.
